Located in the centre of the bustling town of Bourton- on-the Water, probably the most popular Cotswolds destination, is this well presented, terraced cottage, The Seventeen. Set out over two floors, this contemporary styled terraced cottage provides high quality accommodation for friends and families alike. As soon as you enter the cottage it will become apparent that a good deal of time and thought has been put into providing a comfortable home for guests to enjoy. On the ground floor you will find the open plan living / dining space, where you can sit and relax after a long day exploring this beautiful area, or spend time with loved ones enjoying a hearty meal prepared in the adjoining fully equipped kitchen. On the first floor you will find the two beautifully presented double bedrooms (one king size and one double), as well as the beautifully appointed family bathroom. Outside, to the rear of the cottage, you will find the private, terraced seating area, enjoying all day sunshine in the warmer summer months, and an ideal spot for a bit of al fresco dining. To the front of the cottage, and ideal; in such a popular tourist spot, you will find two private, allocated parking spaces. Take a short, ten minute stroll from the cottage, and you will find yourself in the centre of the village, and you will begin to appreciate why Bourton on the Water is referred to by many as 'the Venice of the Cotswolds'. Stroll along the banks of the river that bisects the town and take in the charm of the many listed buildings dotted throughout the village. A little further afield you can enjoy other similarly popular destinations, such as The Slaughters (1 mile), Stow on the Wold (4 miles) and Burford (10 miles). Located in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the historic village of Bourton-on-the-Water dates back to Neolithic times with over 100 buildings being Grade II listed or higher. The picturesque high street nestles alongside the River Windrush over which several low stone bridges span, which is why Bourton-on-the-Water is known as the Venice in the Cotswolds. Tradition states that an annual football match is played in the summer, in the River Windrush with the banks lined with spectators, with the aim to score as many goals as possible and get as wet as possible! The village has an eclectic range of visitor attractions, including The Model Village, Cotswold Motor Museum, Birdland Park and Gardens as well as a Dragonfly Maze, monthly farmers’ market as well as many tea rooms, an artisan bakery, antiques and craft markets, traditional sweet shop, cycle hire and its very own perfumery. Nearby, Stow-on-the-Wold, originally an Iron Age Fort, epitomises traditional England. This ancient market town has played host to many fairs since the 12th century and today holds a biannual Gypsy Horse Fair, craft fairs and monthly farmers' market. The friendly owner Ella has thought of everything a family would need to make their stay comfortable. The beds and sofas were superb and the house was always warm and cosy, the addition of the beautiful Christmas tree made our stay even more special! A very easy walk (10 mins) into Bourton was an added bonus and some lovely restaurants/pubs to be found. Will most definitely recommend this beautiful property to family and friends and will 100% be returning ourselves. Thank you.

Kitchen tap had a constant drip, even with both fully turned off. Constant humming noise in the background, not sure it was the central heating or from the fridge/freezer. Apart from that we had a lovely stay.
