Blossom Cottage is a beautifully presented early 19th century stone property, ideally located just off the high street in the historic town of Chipping Campden. The cottage is part of a row of houses that are known locally for their pretty front gardens and is within a few minutes’ walk of the cafés, pubs, bakeries, and shops along the high street.
The property retains many original features such as working shutters, period fireplaces and oak beams. The main living room has a cosy log burner. The cottage has been recently refurbished and extended to create a light filled kitchen/diner with plenty of dining space for six people. The kitchen and dining room have underfloor heating and bi-fold doors onto the enclosed sunny patio. The cottage benefits from a separate utility room containing an additional fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. A downstairs toilet and basin are located off the utility room. The upstairs bedrooms have been beautifully designed with a mixture of modern and period pieces.
The Cotswold Way runs for 102 miles between Chipping Campden and Bath. The trail along the Cotswold Way starts in Chipping Campden and runs past Blossom Cottage. After leaving the cottage, the trail takes you out on to the Cotswolds escarpment with stunning views from Dover’s Hill, where the annual ‘Olimpick’ games are held the first weekend in June. The walk continues across the fields to Broadway Tower and then down into the village of Broadway with its historic connections with the Arts & Crafts movement.
This market town defines the saying "good things come in small packages" as it proves itself to be a wonderful place for tourists to stay. Chipping Campden sits in the northern part of the Cotswolds and boasts many historical buildings from St. James' church where the Chipping Camden Music Festival is held every year, to the early 17th century market hall upon which the town prides itself. Not only does the town have a rich history but much more, the high street is laced with charming Cotswold stone buildings with a range of shops and pubs. Nearby there are several beautiful, formal gardens for you to wander through. Chipping Campden has held its own 'Olimpick Games' since the early 1600s including peculiar sports such as 'shin-kicking', most certainly worth lining your holiday up with to experience something so unique. The cottage itself is surprisingly spacious, very clean and everything (eg beds and sofas) are very comfy. All the period features inside are beautiful. Location is really good too, right around the corner from the main high street, we had lots of evening walks, and the cottage itself is in a really quiet little area so best of both worlds! Also lots of bigger walks on The Cotswold Way in gorgeous countryside. Plenty of logs for the logburner which makes it feel really cosy. Highly recommend and we definitely are hoping to come back one day! Thank you for a lovely holiday!

We really enjoyed our stay

Ideal location, bring only a few minutes walk from the high street, yet very quiet. As youâd expect from an historic cottage, on-street parking outside was not always available, but there was plenty of parking less than a couple of minutesâ walk away.
