  The location is excellent, with several good restaurants, pubs and shops within easy walking distance.

  Photographs of the cottage did not unfortunately include one of the stairs, and had they done so I would not have booked it. The stairs twist as they ascend from the ground floor and then go up in a straight flight. There is a handrail, but owing to a small window on the stairs the handrail only begins when the stairs become a straight flight. For anyone with a mobility issue, the stairs could well prove difficult. The cottage was very clean, and comfortably furnished, but the second bedroom, which was for one person, did not have a wardrobe, and the only place to hang clothes was a few hooks on the back of the door. The rear garden is in several tiers, beautiful, and secure for a dog. There was a table and chairs on a paved area adjacent to the kitchen and another table and chairs on a paved area at the top of the garden. I booked this cottage in the expectation of having a relaxing break, but there were building noises from the adjacent cottage most of the week which made it impossible at times to stay indoors . A previous guest had written about building noises as far back as last December! It would have been reasonable I believe for the possibility of noise to have been mentioned in the description of the cottage.

  Lovely property and location which is very well maintained and extremely suitable for our little puppy as well.

  Unfortunately we decided to cut our stay short as the double bed seemed super small, especially for the size of the room, and the mattress was extremely uncomfortable, very soft and unsupportive, especially on the edges that we had a terrible nights sleeps for two nights and were lucky not to actually roll out, not ideal on a short break that was supposed to be a relaxing getaway, hence why we left early. Also the sofa wasn’t very comfy either which was a shame. We are both average sized adults so nothing out of the ordinary. Only other constructive suggestions would be a smart TV so streaming / casting is an option, especially as you already have good WiFi and boosters, and finally we couldn’t find any oven gloves so may be a good addition. A few small changes and we would definitely return in the future but unfortunately it didn’t work for us on this occasion.

  Amazing place right in the centre of town.

  Dover Hill is a nice 20 minutes walk away and very easy to get to. The town has everything you need in it. We booked on the basis of previous reviews and they were accurate down to a T. Bedroom is spacious, nice big bathroom and enough room in the living room for 2 by the fire. would have been quite cosey with 4 though I think. Firewood is available round the corner from the Co-op. The TV is a very good quality screen which is around 38 inches. It comes away from the wall so the pictures make it look more awkward than it is. Towels were a little small so if you like a big towel would suggest bringing your own, similarly only 1 toilet roll is provided so should definitely bring extra. Would definitely go back and it gets a well deserved 5 stars.

  Beautiful accommodation equipped to a very high standard.

  Paved fenced area outside the door with a large grassed area beyond also fenced, ideal for dogs, lovely walks straight from the cottage. Two cottages together, ideal for families to get together. Owner is on site, available if needed. Due to CV19 there were no information leaflets about local attractions etc so Wi-Fi came in handy. I had booked these cottages for May but because of travel restrictions had to change the dates, due to the website I had to book them seperately which caused great frustration and difficulty, I had the owners telephone number as I had already paid in full. Alison couldn't have been more helpful and understanding, circumstances permitting I would definitely book this property again.

  Due to the time of year ones estimates change I have been their 3 times now twice in summer with our dogs it was perfect.

  The accommodation was just the same but due to cold weather outside in October we weren't warm inside due to the only heating being a small corner fire. I met up with 4 neighbours before on Friday who had just arrived and they were asking me how to get the C.h. working as there was no thermostat and no instructions yet the radiator was warm when we arrived so the cleaner must have known how it worked but pressing the start button on the boiler did not work for much longer than a couple of minutes for either willoe lodge or Horden view. Please ask the owners if this is a cost saving area they are using because it could be detrimental to anyone returning that has spent the colder periods here.
