Located on the western edge of the village of Wingerworth in Derbyshire is this superb, two-bedroom wooden-cladded lodge, Stables Lodge. Boasting a fantastic location just a short distance away from the scenic Peak District National Park and offering stunning countryside views, Stables Lodge makes for a fabulous dwelling for two couples or a family of four looking for a rural retreat. Park up in one of two convenient off-road parking spaces, where you will see the delightful horses in the field in front of your new home-from-home as you unload your bags. Be welcomed into the stylish open-plan living space, where you can look forward to cooking up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen with combi microwave/oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher ensuring a fuss-free clean up! Gather at the dining table to savour a delicious meal over a bottle of wine, or if the weather is nice, why not take your dinner alfresco out on the private decking as you fire up the barbecue? Moving through the property, you will find a handy utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, ideal for keeping your holiday wardrobe fresh! As the evening grows darker, curl up on the plush sofa and select your favourite film on the 38” Smart TV, whilst the electric woodburning stove fills the room with a comforting warmth. It has amazing decor and was so cosy and comfortable to stay in. We loved watching the horses frolic and the birds swooping and diving. There are so many local walks and things to do in the area. The complimentary fizz, biscuits and milk were a lovely touch.

It was our first visit to the Peak District and we loved it. The accommodation was excellent. The view was beautiful, and everything within the lodge had been thought of. After a long journey the complimentary pint of milk was hugely appreciated to enjoy a cuppa while settling in. Some great walks right on the doorstep for our morning walkies with the dogs too. I am sure we will be back at some point. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
