We found the cottage spacious, clean and well appointed with good quality furnishings and very comfy bed. There were little extras that were most welcome and Simon, the owner, was welcoming and friendly. The cottage is located in the centre of Clowne, a former mining village, and there are supermarkets, dining options and a number of pubs in easy walking distance. For dog owners there are a number of areas to walk your pooch both within the town and a short drive away. Chatsworth and other lovely Peak District attractions are within a short drive so the cottage is a suitable base from which to explore. The cottage garden is pretty with established plants and shrubs and offers a secure area for your dogs to wander once the gates are closed. We enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

Lovely house with everything you need. Beds extremely comfortable. The area is very quiet.

Cottage has everything you need and is very spacious. Spotlessly clean with a lovely cottage garden with plenty of seating and dining out options too. If taking a dog you can simply close the gates to ensure a secure enclosed space. The area is great, plenty of local supermarkets and food and drink options and things to do. Simon was a lovely host, very friendly and always available should you need him. Lovely gesture of flowers, milk and biscuits on arrival. We would highly recommend a stay here and hope to return for a long weekend soon.
