Step up onto the decking and into the lodge, where you can find the open-plan living space, sure to be the hub throughout your stay. Rustle up dinners in the well-equipped kitchen, home to a two-ring hob, air fryer, slimline dishwasher and more, to be enjoyed at the dining table or out on the decking while you plan the next day’s itinerary. Edith Weston is a pretty little village with lovely stone cottages, a pretty little church with a stained glass window inside, as well as a village shop. Post Office and pub. The nearby Rutland Water offers something for all and includes a Visitor Centre, shops, cafes and restaurants. Further afield are the towns of Stamford and Oakham with an excellent variety of independent shops, recognised retailers, character-rich pubs and range of restaurants as well as a weekly market every Friday. This is known as the playground of the East Midlands with water sports, nature reserves, an outdoor adventure centre and plenty of cycling and walking.
