Guests say

Dale View is a spacious and well-loved cottage in Cumbria, praised for its tranquillity, stunning views, and particularly its large private swimming pool. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and the convenience of its location for exploring the Lake District. While some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvements are noted, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests planning return visits.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with several reviews mentioning it was very clean upon arrival. However, a few guests noted issues such as dog poo found in the lounge and dirty oven trays, suggesting occasional oversights.

The location is highly praised for its quietness, proximity to lovely villages, and beautiful surrounding scenery. It is considered an excellent base for exploring the Lake District, contributing to its high rating.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with spacious rooms and cosy furnishings. Some guests mentioned the beds being too soft and issues with hot water availability, which slightly affects the comfort score.

The facilities, especially the swimming pool, are a highlight for many guests. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as problems with heating, pool temperature inconsistencies, and non-working items like the jacuzzi and Aga, leading to a good but not excellent score.

While some guests suggested the addition of a welcome basket with basics like milk and teabags, there is no consistent mention of gifts or thoughtful touches being provided, so it is not possible to give a score in this category.
