Set out on foot and head up Barrow to be rewarded by stunning panoramic views, or for a longer stroll tackle the Coledale Horseshoe. Take to the water with a trip on a Derwentwater steamer, 3 miles away, or stay on dry land to enjoy a gentle walk and picnic on the lakeside before browsing the market town of Keswick, perched at the top of the lake. Or, for an adrenaline rush, Whinlatter Forest offers a wealth of mountain bike trails together with a Go Ape high ropes course and is just 2 miles away.
