Reviewers consistently mention the exceptional cleanliness of the cottage, noting it as spotless and well-maintained. One minor comment about dust and cobwebs suggests room for improvement, but overall, the standard of cleanliness is very high.

The location is frequently highlighted as convenient and desirable, with easy access to Keswick and walking paths. The proximity to a pub and shop adds to the convenience, although some guests noted the busy nearby road.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and a cosy atmosphere. The spaciousness and quietness at night contribute to a restful experience, although one comment about a bed with a raised middle indicates a slight concern.

The cottage is praised for its well-equipped kitchen, modern bathrooms, and overall high-quality fittings. The presence of games and a thoughtful information pack are appreciated. Parking limitations and the absence of a garden are noted, but do not significantly detract from the high ratings.

) and we enjoyed an extremely pleasant and comfortable stay. On arrival we discovered dust under some of the furniture and cobwebs on the lampshades - not a huge problem, but we did notice it! Parking on the narrow cul-de-sac street is not always possible, especially with four people using two cars. Turning is almost impossible on the short street, so you end up backing out on to the main road. We mostly had to find street parking nearby, but that wasn't difficult. There were only two bowls when we arrived, but by the second day four more were provided. We have broken one small wine glass during our stay: please bill us for the replacement.

The cleanliness was impeccable, kitchen very well equipped and the beds comfortable and quiet at night. The nearby road is busy but didn’t disturb our sleep as the traffic dies down later in the evening. The pub across the road is great to visit after a days walking to have a drink outside in the front sun trap. Again, any noise disappears on closing time and was not an issue. Managed to park right outside every evening. Took about 10 mins or so to walk into town and is very pleasant if you go along the old railway line walk. Very spacious accommodation. Thank you for our lovely stay.

Great location for walks into Keswick and surrounding area. Helpful information pack in the house and lots of games and books in the event of bad weather. Fortunately it was mostly dry so we had plenty of days out and some lovely pubs and restaurants to choose from.
