Judges Lodging is a well-received cottage in Hawkshead, praised for its prime location, cleanliness, and spaciousness. Guests appreciate the comfortable accommodation and the convenience of having amenities and scenic walks close by. While some minor issues with maintenance and essentials were noted, the overall experience is positive, with many looking forward to returning.
The property generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with most guests finding it very clean. However, a few guests mentioned areas that had not been cleaned properly, such as above the bath and under the street in the kitchen, which slightly lowers the score.
The location is highly praised for being convenient and central, with easy access to local shops, pubs, and lovely walks. The availability of parking, despite some difficulties, is also appreciated, contributing to a high score in this category.
Guests find the property comfortable, with a relaxing kitchen and cosy lounge. However, some guests mentioned issues with mattresses, pillows, and heating distribution, which suggests room for improvement in overall comfort.
The facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and useful parking. Nonetheless, guests reported some maintenance issues such as a broken boiler, drafty doors, and a lack of heating in certain areas, indicating a need for better upkeep.
While guests have mentioned the provision of a small welcome pack and the lack of essentials such as soap and dishwasher tablets, there is no consistent reference to gifts or thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

Very convenient for access to village.Everywhere spotless. Only word of caution for anyone staying who has difficulty with stairs-they are steep.Very good value and would stay again!

The beds were comfortable and the property was very well equipped. The only downside is the parking situation, the exit is very tight especially in a bigger car seven seat car.
