On arrival at the property, the private driveway brings you to the front door before stepping into the sleek kitchen, fit with all the amenities you need to rustle up some scrumptious meals, including a large American-style fridge/freezer and a handy dishwasher to help with the clean up after an adventurous day of exploring your surroundings. Savour your home-cooked meals at the dining table as the whole group sits down to plan the next day of excursions; the dining room is home to a stylish dining table and the many windows allow an abundance of light into the space for a bright and airy feel.

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants, and pubs in the village to suit all tastes, including the popular eateries of Misto, Sheila's Cottage, and The Lily Bar. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Very clean and well appointed. For future enhancements the owners might consider installing an island unit in the kitchen to improve the amount of food preparation and serving space. Itâs a bit tight for a full house at the moment. Also fitted sheets on the beds instead of flat sheets that donât tuck in fully, would stop the mattress protector from moving and becoming creased and uncomfortable. Pillows are also a bit on the thin side.
