Continue through to find a sleek bathroom, where you can indulge in long soaks with your favourite book, before retiring to the sumptuous super-king-size bedroom, also benefiting from the stunning views on offer, with TV and a well-appointed en-suite shower room.
Explore the town, where you can treat your other half to a meal at The Old Stamp House, Lake Road Kitchen and Misto, stock up on essentials at the convenience store, visit a fascinating 2nd-century Roman Fort, tour the Armitt Library & Museum Centre, or hike up to see the beautiful Stock Ghyll Force. Ambleside, which is located at the northernmost point of Lake Windermere, is a great starting point from which to explore the middle Lakes. Grasmere and the Langdale Valley are also close by. There is a lot to do here, including boat tours, cruises, and water sports on Lake Windermere itself, as well as a wide variety of stores, eateries, and pubs in the hamlet to satisfy every taste. A little strip of beach and wonderful lake views can be found in the parkland at Waterhead, while a trek through the woods along Stock Ghyll will lead you to the captivating cascade of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the fantastic hiking opportunities, Ambleside is well-known for its yearly rushbearing ritual and the modest 17th-century "Bridge House," which is now the National Trust Information Center and one of the Lake District's most popular photo subjects.

Comfortable, clean and spacious. Situated up a steepish lane with views over Ambleside and the fells behind. It was situated in an elevated position but was a short distance to the town down a footpath. Definitely recommend
