Stunning location with amazing views of the fells. Beautiful house, tastefully renovated and extremely comfortable. Good to have separate TV area and conservatory sitting room. Well equipped kitchen. Two fridges - very helpful. Good to have separate Cruick Barn with its own TV for teenage children! It’s expensive but a luxury experience. We’ve been coming here for the last few years and the fly problem has become significantly worse. We were swatting / could have swatted 50-60 flies a night and couldn’t put food down in the kitchen without covering it. We suggest the owners think more about potential permanent solutions, if that’s possible. Fire alarms went off for second year in a row but electrician arrived same day to sort. Dishwasher also broken when we arrived but thanks to very helpful housekeeper, repair man arrived a couple of days later.
