Home Farmhouse in Ulverston offers a delightful stay with its modern amenities, spacious rooms, and a dog-proof courtyard. Guests have enjoyed the clean environment, high-spec bathrooms, and the estate's swimming pool. The on-site shop and the property's coolness during a heatwave were appreciated, as were the estate's walking opportunities. Some concerns were raised about the annex's temperature and odour, but these were minor compared to the overall positive experience.
The property is generally praised for its cleanliness, with mentions of a modern, well-kept environment. There were minor notes on cobwebs and a slight drain smell, but these did not significantly detract from the overall clean impression.
The location is highly regarded for its great walks and proximity to Windermere. The difficulty for deliveries due to postcode issues is a minor inconvenience, but the setting on the Graythwaite Estate is otherwise praised.
Comfort is well-received with spacious living areas and a cool atmosphere during heat. However, the annex's temperature control and the lack of a downstairs toilet for less mobile guests are noted as areas for improvement.
Facilities like the swimming pool and on-site shop are appreciated, and the property is well-equipped. Some feedback suggests the annex could be better maintained, and the lack of a broom or hoover for cleaning is mentioned.
While guests have provided constructive feedback on certain amenities, there is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so it is not possible to score this category.

We loved the size of Home Farmhouse, two lovely lounge/relaxing areas, dining table for eight. Each bedroom has an en suite. We didnât make use of the annex but it makes the house plenty big enough for 8 adult guests. The house was well equipped apart from a broom or hoover, we found a dustpan but itâs a big place to do that daily! Otherwise faultless.

Outside area would have been nicer if the weather wasnât wet but garden furniture ie garden table and chairs looked too fragile to use. Overall a very nice stay though - swimming pool was used on three occasions and all good.

Cramped, mould on toilet wall continual bad odour. Would not have been suitable had we needed for more than 2 nights Location is great for walks. Tesco unable to locate us as they use Royal Mail postcode finder for deliveries. Pool is good. Great for the kids Date of experience: 02 December 2022
