Beech Grove Lodge in Windermere is highly praised for its superb location, comfort, and cleanliness. Guests appreciate the lodge's proximity to local amenities and the tranquillity of the park. The accommodation is described as well-equipped, spacious, and offering a homely feel, making it a popular choice for both families and couples.
The majority of guests found the lodge to be very clean and inviting, with only a few isolated comments about minor cleanliness issues such as exterior porch areas and the presence of ants. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The lodge's location is consistently lauded for being close to Bowness, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and the lake. Its setting within a quiet part of the park is also appreciated for providing a peaceful environment.
Guests generally find the lodge comfortable, with special mentions of the comfortable beds and spacious living areas. Some guests suggested improvements such as the provision of fans during hot weather and more comfortable seating.
Facilities are well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and modern bathrooms. However, there are comments about maintenance issues such as WiFi connectivity, outdoor furniture condition, and the need for minor repairs, which slightly lower the score.
While guests have expressed gratitude for the hospitality received, particularly during a honeymoon stay, there is insufficient information to evaluate the consistency of thoughtful gestures such as welcome gifts across all stays. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

Ideal location for visiting Beatrix Potter world if travelling with children (literally a 5 minute walk from the lodge). At first, the lodge was extremely cold and we were arriving with small children. However, had no issues during our stay once we resolved issue - very cosy actually once the heating was on (November stay). Beds very comfortable, bath in main bathroom (ideal again for small children). Coffee machine in kitchen (Dolce Gusto - if you happen to enjoy a good coffee and have the pods - we did not bring any pods). Overall, happy with our stay!

Only issue was when we arrived it was freezing. Heating wasnât on even down low. We had to turn it on and go to pub til it heated up. Was actually warmer outside! But after that it was lovely and warm, Also we didnât seem to be able to turn off individual radiators as I like a cold bedroom. It was on or off! Enjoyed our stay as always, but the price has increased hugely, so not sure if we will book again . Thank you
James
We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return in the near future. The lodge was comfortable and clean and located in a private quiet section of the park with entrance/exit being a short walk away to head towards the shops. I would definitely recommend this place if visiting the area.
