Woodside Lodge in WINDERMERE is praised for its tranquil and scenic location, comfortable accommodation, and the added luxury of a hot tub. Guests enjoyed the lodge's proximity to local attractions and the privacy it offers, making it an ideal retreat for both families and couples. The outdoor seating and the lodge's position within the park are particularly appreciated, contributing to a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Most guests found the lodge to be clean and tidy upon arrival, with only a few isolated incidents of cleanliness issues such as a musty smell in one room and a minor leak. The overall high standard of cleanliness contributed positively to the guests' experiences.
The lodge's location is highly praised for its quietness, proximity to the lake, and the surrounding woodland, offering a peaceful retreat and scenic views. Its central position within the Lake District makes it an excellent base for exploring the area.
Guests found the lodge to be comfortable, with good quality bedding and a warm, cosy atmosphere. However, some guests mentioned that the seating in the lounge area was not sufficient for larger groups and that the mattresses in some rooms could be improved.
Facilities such as the hot tub, kitchen equipment, and on-site amenities were appreciated, but some guests noted areas for improvement including outdoor furniture maintenance and the need for bedroom mirrors. The hot tub was a highlight, though some suggested it could benefit from a shelter.
While guests have expressed satisfaction with the amenities and the overall experience, there is no mention of any specific thoughtful gestures or gifts provided by the hosts. Therefore, it is not possible to assess this category.

Other than the boiler didnât work properly until the day before we were going home.. there was plenty of pots pans and kitchen utensils but no space to put food in., and the garden was abit messy and a glass still left outside from previous guests. Other than that it was lovely
