Guests say

The Haybarn in Norfolk offers a tranquil, rural retreat with well-maintained gardens and a friendly host. Guests appreciate the clean, comfortable accommodation and the picturesque setting, ideal for a peaceful getaway. While some mention noise from upstairs and a desire for better soundproofing, the charm of the countryside and the cosy atmosphere often outweigh these concerns.

Guests consistently describe the property as clean and well-kept, with several reviews highlighting the cleanliness as a positive aspect. The attention to detail in maintaining a tidy environment is evident.

The location is praised for its tranquillity and rural charm. It's central to Norfolk, allowing for exploration of the area. However, some guests find it a bit remote and the access roads narrow, which is typical for countryside properties.

Many guests find the beds comfortable and the setting cosy, especially during the summer. However, there are remarks about the double bedroom being cramped and the lounge settees being uncomfortable, which suggests room for improvement in comfort.

The property is well-equipped, with a special mention of the excellent shower. Nonetheless, guests have raised issues with the cooker, heating control, and noise from upstairs, indicating that some facilities could benefit from maintenance or upgrades.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the host in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

It was so peaceful and beautifully positioned with a stream at the bottom of the lawn and a paddock and fields beyond. The owner who lives on site was really helpful, and you could have a laugh with him. Would we go back? You bet we would.
