While some maintenance issues are noted, the charm and character of the cottage shine through, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
The cottage is frequently described as clean and tidy, with several reviews highlighting its cleanliness. However, a few comments about the garden's upkeep and a need for a deep clean suggest there is room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for its quietness and convenience for exploring Norfolk. The proximity to a great pub and Oxburgh Hall, as well as the views of the countryside, contribute to the high rating.
Comfort is well-regarded with mentions of comfy beds and sofas, and a cosy atmosphere. Some issues with heating and electric heaters not working properly have been noted, slightly affecting the score.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-stocked kitchen and utility features. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as problematic blinds, outdated appliances, and difficulties with hot water and heating, which impact the score.
Guests often mention a generous welcome pack and other thoughtful touches like fresh flowers, which contribute to a positive experience. It should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

We felt extremely fortunate to have stumbled upon this little gem. It's well equipped for all your needs on holiday, with enough kitchen equipment to rustle up a decent meal on the days that the local gastropub isn't open (Mondays and Tuesdays are their days off). Close enough to interesting towns and the north Norfolk coast to give us a really lovely break. Thanks.
Michel
We enjoy our two weeks. The cottage was very confortable and well situated in a lovely village.

Quaint, welcoming and very comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing break away. Newly decorated in most rooms and fresh carpets downstairs and a new fridge in the kitchen. The gardener came whilst we were there and tidied the very quiet back-garden which was nice. We had good weather so could benefit from the garden to relax in after sightseeing. Thank you to the owners who have a very special place to let others enjoy.
