Walcott is a lovely coastal village that sits right in the middle of the Norfolk coastline, with many small and friendly coastal villages nearby; Bacton where the ruins of Bromholm Priory and Bacton Woods can be found, Happisburgh with its impressive lighthouse, and Mundesley with its fine sandy beaches are to name but a few. The name Walcott is derived from the Celtic word Walecote, which means "village by the wood". It is an ideal place for walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing, bird watching or simply relaxing and enjoying the many views. Walcott is also a great location for exploring the beautiful scenery of the Norfolk coast, as well as the famous Norfolk Broads. Further inland there are plenty of famous National Trust properties to visit, such as Blickling, Felbrigg and Holkham Halls, or why not visit the historic city of Norwich, with its beautiful Norman Cathedral and Castle, and of course spend your money in the many shops, pubs and restaurants on offer.

We had a lovely comfortable stay at Suzanneâs hut, all human and dog necessities were catered for, nice and close to the dog friendly beach, Dishwasher was a real added bonus, âºï¸ beds were comfy, everywhere was clean and loved the beach/seaside decor, highly recommended and would have no hesitation in booking again

Beach is super close and accessed through back of chalet park no more than 5 mins away. Chalets are quite close together but not a problem everyone is super friendly. Really comfortable stay and Suzanne has done a great job with decor and beds etc only small (and I do mean super small) observation is that the cream sofa smells a lot of dog which transferred to clothes so used a throw to cover it up. Fridge/freezer still had food from previous people and the shower was sandy however these we quickly fixed. Couple of hints for next guests is when you get to the chalet park turn right into the estate the numbers are not in order and Suzanneâs beach hut numbers are rubbed away. Also, be very careful on steps outside they are not very wide and are made of decking but are fine to use. Overall thank you so much Suzanne great base for a fabulous holiday!
