A short drive to a number of pubs and restaurants and not far from several larger towns. The Byre was very clean and very comfortable. Mike was very accommodating too. We had a great weekend. The log burner was brilliant too.

The owner Mike was very friendly and gave us a warm welcome and explained everything. Thanks for the small extras like the wild flowers and the very tasty chocolate. The cottage was well equipped and cosy. The area is beautiful and Mike gave us some very good ideas what to do. One week is too short to see and explore everything. Thanks for a fantastic week. We had a lovely, helpful welcome from the owner, who lives next door. You walk straight into the attractive double bedroom which gives the access to a mezzanine, which would be superb for a primary school child. The bedroom also gives access to the excellent shower room and to the well equipped kitchen which leads to a big, comfortable lounge with log burner. We particularly liked the treasure trove of leaflets and books about the local area that we could use. There are also lots of DVDs available for those who wish to relax with a DVD. An ideal place for complete relaxation especially as the owner lets you relax in his garden and enjoy his wonderful view but that is down steps without a handrail.
