Coach House is a beautiful detached stone cottage settled into the heart of Alnmouth, Northumberland, ideal for a family or group of adults. Be welcomed by this charming reverse-level property with a fantastic open-plan living area with sloping ceilings on the first floor. Stylish and full of natural light, put your feet up in the sitting area and enjoy a cup of tea as you plan the day ahead of you. From here, a lovely contemporary kitchen can be found, with sage cupboards and many home-from-home amenities, so why not enjoy cooking together and present your masterpiece on the dining table? This beautiful property has two bedrooms, a double with homely décor on the ground floor, along with a bathroom, and a twin bedroom on the first floor, ideal for children. The sunshine and salty air can be enjoyed in the garden, where there are pretty flowers and a sitting area, also shared by the neighbouring property. Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.

There is a parking space and a lovely private garden, both of which are difficult to get in Alnmouth and it was a two minute walk to the beautiful beach. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The only issue, which we left feedback for, was that the downstairs bedroom was quite cold and the storage heater was not effective. If an additional plug in radiator was provided, it would solve the problem. Otherwise, it is a perfect little cottage in a great location.

Very comfortable beds. Good seating. Being able to have a parking space was essential to us and it was just outside the cottage so it was ideal. We loved Alnmouth itself, and we would like to stay again in the future. We would definitely book the Coach House again as it was so pleasant to stay in for a week with the living space planned just right.
