Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.

I complained about the cost of the booking fee and additional costs which adds at least another £100 to the cottage fee. I think Alnmouth is pricing itself out of the market. Over the last 20 years since I have been visiting cottsge rentals have risen considerably. Also why did you allow Skyeâs cottages take over rentals? Some answers would be appreciated. Itâs up to you whether you publish this.

There is a parking space and a lovely private garden, both of which are difficult to get in Alnmouth and it was a two minute walk to the beautiful beach. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The only issue, which we left feedback for, was that the downstairs bedroom was quite cold and the storage heater was not effective. If an additional plug in radiator was provided, it would solve the problem. Otherwise, it is a perfect little cottage in a great location.
