This lovely cottage for up to three guests offers a quiet retreat in a secluded pedestrianised area in an excellent location for enjoying everything on offer in historic Alnwick. The wide range of shops, bars, restaurants and the many local attractions and all just a short stroll away. Leave the car and walk to Alnwick Castle and Gardens (0.5 miles), check out the Alnwick Playhouse for theatre, cinema, arts and cultural events, visit the Bailiffgate Museum and browse with a coffee in the famous second-hand bookstore. Alnmouth’s sandy beach is perfect for walks, picnics, village shops, pub/restaurants, and the scenic golf course (4.5 miles). Explore Warkworth’s medieval castle, river walk and beach (7.5 miles), Craste for seafood and Dunstanburgh Castle, (7 miles) and Howick Hall Gardens and Arboretum (6.5 miles).

A shallow step at the entrance takes you over the threshold and into the attractive open-plan living accommodation of this deceptively spacious cottage. After a day out exploring, there is a comfortable sofa to relax on in front of the wood burner-effect electric fire. Choose some music to play on the record player from the owner’s vinyl collection, listen to the radio, dip into a book, or watch a film on the Smart TV. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, a fridge with an icebox, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a Nespresso coffee machine. There are low-back stools at the breakfast bar where you can sit with your morning coffee and the dining table has bench seating for sociable mealtimes. Heading upstairs, you will find the two bedrooms. The king-size bedroom is set into the eaves with an easy chair and built-in wardrobe space, and the light and airy single bedroom has a chest of drawers for your things. The family bathroom completes the accommodation with a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, there is a bench seat at the front of the property where you can put on your walking boots or sit with a drink.
