Guests say

Lantern View is a well-appointed cottage praised for its peaceful location, stunning views, and modern decor. It offers a cosy atmosphere and is well-equipped for exploring Northumberland's rich heritage. While some guests encountered maintenance issues and accessibility challenges, the property remains a recommended choice for a relaxing holiday, particularly for those without mobility concerns.

The property generally maintains good cleanliness, though there were isolated mentions of dog hairs on furnishings and some kitchenware not being clean. The majority of guests did not raise cleanliness as an issue.

The location is highly praised for its beauty and tranquillity, with easy access to local attractions. However, the isolated position and single-track roads may not suit everyone.

Guests find the property cosy and peaceful, with some concerns about bed sizes and the comfort of specific rooms. The presence of unexpected steps and the layout of some rooms posed challenges for guests with mobility issues.

The property is equipped with a range of cooking aids and a woodburning stove. However, guests reported several maintenance issues, including a lack of advertised facilities such as a walk-in shower and ground-floor TV, and minor issues like a cracked window and loose fixtures.

There is no mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, and some guests noted the absence of a welcome pack and basic provisions. Therefore, it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness of the host based on the available information.

OK if there are no mobility issues but would not recommend for disabled people. Stairs are challenging and random steps throughout. I loved it though.
