A very nice property in a lovely village. Such a good location for visiting Hadrianâs Wall and all things Roman. A note on how to get heating and hot water on would be useful as we found this difficult.

Only comments are that some of the radiators eg in bedroom closest to the bathroom were very hot and we couldnât turn it down, the rad tap didnât work. Some were cold but that didnât matter as it was warm last week but just might be worth checking. We couldnât work out how to turn heating off or use the dvd player but we are a group of older ladies who arenât any good at that sort of thing! Sorry! Overall clean but a bit grubby round the taps and under the plugs, just a bit more attention to detail would give you 5* Facilities great, especially kitchen and swing bat! So nice to have access to that. Would definitely recommend this house. Thank you

Really enjoyed our stay. Perfect location for us. Freezer in "stable" totally iced over. Needs defrosting. Stair carpets needed a little more vacuuming. Toilet in 2nd Bathroom upstairs had a minor leak problem from the metal handle. We managed to deal with it eventually, but might need checking.
