Parking can be a little awkward for larger car but you can find parking elsewhere . This wouldn’t stop us returning . We loved the cottage , very welcoming and a credit to the owners !

The courtyard is a sun trap although access could be a challenge for some due to parking on the Main Street compromising the archway entrance at times and the width of the archway at its narrowest point. We managed ok by driving in, carefully doing a several point turn so that we then drove our Toyota Yaris Cross SUV out frontwards. This might be more difficult with a bigger car so check before attempting- there is free parking elsewhere in Amble. Apart from this the cottage was lovely and we enjoyed our holiday there and plan to return.

It was good fun reversing my large SUV into the courtyard with a couple of inches to spare either side!
