There are numerous castles and great houses to explore, such as the magnificent castles at Bamburgh, Cragside, and Alnwick (home of the Duke of Northumberland), to mention just a few. It's immaculate, the feel and look of the apartment is just gorgeous. The apartment is central but quiet, parking so easy, it all felt very safe and secure. I only marked it down a point in comfort because the mattresses were very soft and my old back didn't cope too well, which is obviously very subjective and wouldn't want it to put anyone else off! Communication with the owner was first class. Imcsnt recommend this apartment highly enough.
