Guests say

Sandy Shores Cottage in Seahouses, Northumberland, is generally well-received for its excellent location, spaciousness, and well-equipped facilities, particularly the kitchen and conservatory. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches, such as welcome gifts. While there are some criticisms regarding maintenance and clutter, the positive experiences and repeat visits suggest a satisfying stay for most.

Most guests find Sandy Shores clean and well-maintained, though there are isolated reports of cleanliness issues such as sticky handles and dusty areas. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule, as the majority of reviews do not raise concerns about cleanliness.

The location of Sandy Shores is highly praised for its proximity to the coastal path, shops, and local attractions. Its quiet position within a small development and sea views contribute to its high rating.

While many guests find the property comfortable and the beds satisfactory, there are some negative comments about the comfort of the living room furniture and beds. However, the positive remarks about the conservatory and overall comfort suggest a generally comfortable experience.

The cottage is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and guests enjoy the conservatory. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a problematic front door, clutter, and a lack of a DVD player. These issues indicate room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

Guests mention welcome gifts, which are well-received, adding a thoughtful touch to their stay. However, as gifts are subject to change and not guaranteed, they should be considered a bonus rather than an expectation.

The welcome pack was a nice touch, it’s ideally situated for Seahouses, Beadnell, Bamburgh and Holy Island. You won’t be disappointed by the property unless you’re really fussy. I would definitely book this property again.

Spent most of our time in the conservatory, lovely room. Largest room in the house complete with Tv. can't be bad. Would definitely stay there again. Walkable distance from the High St and harbour either along the main road or coastal part to the Harbour.

Great location 10 mins walk from centre of Seahouses and also a great base to explore Northumberland. House was clean when we arrived. It had dual-zone Hive heating (lounge and conservatory under-floor heating) which worked really well and a decent mesh Wifi network. Conservatory was the best room in the house especially with underfloor heating. Was more comfortable in there than the lounge. Kitchen diner well equipped with dishwasher etc. Owners provided nice welcome drinks etc and the house had everything you need including dishwasher tablets etc. Beds we used were very comfortable. Back garden nice but didn't use due to the rain. I think the owners have taken on some of the feedback as the house felt recently renovated with new bedding and carpets. Absolutely no issues with the front door for example as previously mentioned. Bathroom very clean with a nice bath and shower. Washer/dryer in utility room. Would not hesitate to stay here the next time we come back to Northumberland.
