The Turkey House is consistently praised for its stunning location, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the peaceful setting, the proximity to local attractions, and the thoughtful welcome packs provided by the owners. The property is described as well-equipped, cosy, and perfect for both relaxing and exploring the Scottish Borders and Northumberland.
Guests frequently commend the property for its spotless condition, with many reviews highlighting the cleanliness as a standout feature. One mention of an unclean oven prevents a perfect score.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and convenience for exploring nearby coastal and countryside attractions. The proximity to Berwick-upon-Tweed and local pubs is also appreciated.
The cottage is repeatedly described as cosy and comfortable, with a particularly comfortable bed and well-heated rooms. A single mention of a creaky bed slightly impacts the score.
Facilities are generally regarded as excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen and good heating. However, some guests noted minor issues with maintenance such as a broken ice box door, a non-functional DVD player, and the need for new frying pans.
Many guests mention and appreciate the welcome packs, which include items like fresh eggs, milk, and bread. While these gifts are warmly received, it is noted that such gestures are subject to the owners' discretion and may not be guaranteed.

Ice box door in the fridge is broken leading to the fridge not performing well. The property is difficult to find on first arrival in the dark on an unknown road and maybe need to add to directions something like 'lookout for the white marker stones at the entrance to the drive' The cottage is very warm, cosy, clean and has everything you would need for a stay. The owner kindly left a selection of 'goodies' as a welcome pack.
