Be welcomed into this spacious area, complete with a dining table for six, plush seating, an electric fire, and a TV for entertainment, where you can unwind, socialise and plan your coming days. As the night unfolds, catch some rest in one of the three well-appointed bedrooms, starting with a double on the first floor; on the second floor you'll locate a further double, and a super-king-size (zip/link) for convenience. Awaken to a refreshing shower in the sleek shower room, before exploring the town and its amenities; stock up on the essentials at one of the many local shops, and enjoy a stroll through Ashbourne Park, whilst dining out will be a pleasure at the likes of The George & Dragon, Lamplight Restaurant, and Café Impromptu. Head into the national park to discover the nature-filled grounds of Ilam Park, or tour the magnificent structures of Reynards Cave, ahead of reaching Matlock, its stunning Lumsdale Waterfall, the Peak District Mining Museum, and Matlock Bath Aquarium. Ashbourne, which is located at the southernmost point of the Peak District, is the epitome of an English market town, complete with a marketplace with stalls, an odd street layout, winding cobblestone lanes, coaching inns, and almshouses. The town was a posh social hub during its heyday in the 18th century, and many lovely Georgian structures from this period still stand today. The town is still known as something of a sanctuary for antique hunters today and still has a lot to offer in terms of restaurants and inns, but don't expect a deal! The Dove and Manifold Valleys are nearby for those who prefer more outdoor activities, while Alton Towers, with its thrilling collection of thrills and attractions, is only a short drive away for thrill seekers.
