When relaxing at the property you can take pleasure at the far reaching views of the Derwent Valley whist resting on the peaceful, private terrace or enjoy indoor entertainment with a choice of Sky Stream, Netflix, Sky Cinema  and WIFI. When you are ready to venture out and discover the stunning Peak District National Park you will find many tourist attractions within a short drive, including Chatsworth House and the Heights of Abraham, which the cable cars can been seen from the terrace!

South View Snug is a ground floor apartment located in a quiet residential area. It has been stylishly designed throughout to give a cosy and inviting ambiance, somewhere you can return too after a busy day sightseeing and enjoy a little sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The quiet building was originally a small Victorian hotel built when Matlock became popular when natural thermal water was discovered in the 1800s and the apartment still contains beautiful features including ornate ceiling mouldings and cornices and large sash windows throughout. You enter the snug via a small conservatory, a relaxing space to enjoy your morning coffee, unwind with a book or simply take in the wonderful far reaching views whilst enjoying a glass of wine or two! The open plan lounge/kitchen provides all the usual amenities expected in a holiday let. Entertainment includes Sky Stream, Netflix, Sky Cinema, Amazon Echo plus wifi. The windows flood the room with day light and the large south facing bay window provides glorious views. When the day comes to a close the room takes on a cosy, intimate ambience, the perfect place to snuggle and watch a film or two. The spacious bedroom includes a bed dressed in luxurious Egyptian Cotton bedding (please note that there are no throws or cushions on the bed for hygiene reasons, cushions were just added for the photo) and the bathroom includes a bath with overhead shower. The enclosed terrace is just a wonderful place to sit and enjoy on warm days. On sunny days you'll have the sun from mid morning until it sets in the west, its a real sun trap.

There are several country pubs in the area but the nearest is just a minutes’ walk away and includes a large beer garden. The pub also offers home cooked food. Information in the property gives directions on all five county pubs within walking distance and the serving times for food. Matlock town is only a minutes’ drive away and can be reached on foot within 15 minutes but please note that the steep incline will take a little longer on your return!

Matlock has plenty of convenience stores including Sainsbury’s, Co op and a Marks & Spencer’s food hall plus an abundance of bars and restaurants.
