While there are some minor concerns about cleanliness and maintenance, the overall experience is highly regarded, making it a desirable holiday retreat.

Guests have mentioned issues with cleanliness, including a mouldy shower door, dirty internal doors, and cobwebs. However, these seem to be isolated incidents as other reviews highlight the property as beautifully clean.

Tywardreath, which means 'The House on the Strand,' is a charming, historic Cornish settlement that appears in Daphne du Maurier's novel of the same name. The town church, St Andrew's, is regarded to boast the best peal of bells in the area, and the village has a vibrant community centred around its great taverns and diverse selection of stores. Near the settlement, there are many safe, sandy beaches with a variety of watersports and recreational activities. Kayaking from the property was a delight and bird-watching during low tide was fun - the house binoculars were very helpful. The Quooker took some getting used to but is great for a quick cuppa. Thank you for an enjoyable week
