Potters Barn in Cornwall receives high praise for its cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, ample parking, and the peaceful, wooded location. The property is lauded for its welcoming atmosphere, with special mentions of the comfortable beds and sofas. While there are minor mentions of maintenance needs, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests planning return visits.
Guests consistently describe the property as spotless and beautifully presented. There is a minor note about the cleanliness of the velux windows, but this does not detract significantly from the overall high standards of cleanliness.
The location is praised for being peaceful and quiet, nestled in a wooded valley, yet conveniently close to local attractions and amenities. The ample parking and accessibility to both north and south coasts are appreciated, although one review mentioned poor phone reception due to the surrounding trees.
Comfort is a highlight, with guests mentioning large, comfortable beds and sofas, as well as the warm and homely atmosphere of the barn. The property is described as a peaceful haven, ideal for relaxation.
The facilities are generally well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen, great showers, and modern appliances. However, there are a few reports of issues with the fridge temperature and the main bathroom shower, which suggests room for improvement in maintenance.
The property owners are commended for their thoughtfulness, providing welcome treats for both humans and dogs, as well as other small conveniences. It should be noted that while such gestures are greatly appreciated by guests, they are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

The owners had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable- we loved the cream tea and fudge when we arrived! The cottage has so many little thoughtful extras, such as lovely toiletries in the bathrooms, and a doggy goody bag, it meant that we didnât immediately have to rush to the supermarket. The cottage was beautifully decorated, warm, well stocked, and clean. The beds were so comfortable we wanted to take them home! Everything was top notch, wi - fi was very good, location very peaceful in a wooded area, great garden for the dog, and to sit out in if weather permitted. The only slight downsides for us were that phone reception was bad due to being surrounded by large trees, but we could communicate through the wi-fi, so not too bad. Also the courtyard area to the front of the property seems to be undergoing some kind of transformation, with no noise, but some properties with scaffolding etc. , and the small bridge at the entrance to the courtyard has to be driven over very carefully. When completed, we are quite sure that the improvements will enhance the property, if the house is anything to go by. All in all, a wonderful place to stay and we would very happily return!
