Guests are delighted with the lodge's immaculate condition, private and peaceful setting, and well-maintained gardens. The hot tub is a highlight, offering relaxation after exploring Cornwall. While some minor issues are noted, the overall experience is highly positive, with many looking to return.
The lodge receives high praise for its cleanliness, with several reviews noting it as spotless and well-maintained. One guest mentioned cleaning upon arrival, but this seems an isolated incident against the backdrop of overall excellent feedback.
The lodge's location is appreciated for its seclusion and privacy, contributing to a peaceful stay. However, some guests noted a lack of views due to grown shrubs and trees, and a few mentioned the area being slightly gloomy on less sunny days.
Comfort is generally well-regarded, with the lodge described as spacious and the beds as comfortable. Some guests, however, found the mattresses too soft and the pillows too soft, suggesting room for improvement in this area.
Facilities are highly rated, with the lodge being well-equipped. Maintenance of the hot tub is diligent. Points are deducted for minor maintenance issues like toilet flush problems, lack of cutlery basket, and non-working outside lights.
While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no specific mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

The hot tub was also clean and hot ready for us to jump straight in. The lodge itself is positioned near a small lookout mound and a grass area in the park, good for the dogs to have a walk around. If I was to criticise anything the T.v wasn't working when we arrived, there was no arial connector just a wire shoved in the back of the T.v. We did report it and was offered to fix but we brought a fire stick with us, which we plugged in and that was good enough for us, just reported for the next user's. Also the decking could do with a clean and a power wash, very green and slippy in places. Other then that we had no issues with heating, water or wifi, the lodge was warm when we arrived, with a welcome pack of things to do, restaurants and places to visit. Maybe a small instruction manual on how to use some of the appliances, oven, dishwasher, hot-tub might be helpful for other guests. Overall we had a really lovely time visiting many places around the area with the dogs and it was nice to come back to the lodge a relax in the hot-tub after a long day walking. I would recommend this lodge to others and would be more the happy to visit again. Thankyou.

Absolutely beautiful place quiet private and not overlooked at all . Welcome pack was a nice touch and the curtesy phone call while on our way to say it was ready early was well received thank you. Was a lovely place to come back to after a busy day seeing the sights and the hot tub was great for relaxing. The cabin had all the things youâd need for your stay all the way down to bathrobes which were unexpected but very appreciated . All in all 5*

Would stay there again
