Serendib Cottage is just a 6 minute walk (0.2 miles) to Towan Beach, making it a convenient base to head down with your surfboard and catch some waves! Adjacent to Towan Beach you will find Killacourt; a lovely green space for you to have a picnic and enjoy the to stunning coastal views. In summer evenings, the Pavillion here comes to life with live music and a pop up bar selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. You'll be spoilt for choice when choosing restaurants, pubs and cafés, and there's also the irresistible Newquay Golf Club for any avid golfers and the Newquay Zoo for the animal lovers in your group. a short stroll away . The local favourite fish and chips shop, Flounders, is just 4 mins walk away if you fancy an evening meal at the seaside. Travelling along the coast, there are coves, viewpoints and more sandy beaches for miles, with charming villages and towns such as Crantock, West Pentire, and Mawgan Porth to stop at on the way. South West Coast Path is just around the corner, leading you to the famous Fistral Beach. Use the path to admire the dramatic coastline, which is especially beautiful during sunset. Inland, you can find Screech Owl Sanctuary and Animal Park, Springfield Fun Park, and a wealth of walking and cycling options amongst Cornwall's various terrains. Newquay is the home of the UK’s surf scene, boasting eleven beaches and over seven miles of golden sand, three major beaches, the National Surf Centre and an endless supply of rolling surf, making it a beachlovers and watersports paradise. The town, with its zoo, sea life centre and varied selection of restaurants and pubs, also promises a holiday to remember. For avid walkers, the South West Coast Path passes in both directions along a stunning coastline of high cliffs, hidden coves and yet more beaches. The quaint harbour and fishing village of Padstow is just 14 miles away, while Truro, with its museums, cathedral, restaurants, and cobbled streets, as well as the Eden Project, can be reached within a short drive. Picturesque St Ives and the Tate St Ives gallery is just a train ride away. In fact, because nothing in Cornwall is far from Newquay, it’s the perfect touring base.
