Would like to say first off, this is a fabulous property and we would definitely return. It is spacious, airy, clean and has a wonderful sense of calm. Beds and linens very comfortable, decor excellent. The kitchen is well equipped and all facilities you could need for a holiday stay including washing and a utility area. The location is perfect and the views over Rock towards Padstow are excellent. Few maintenance points: - There are quite a few light bulbs blown, both inside and out, including those around the car parking area which was pitch black at night. - The sofas in the main living area could do with new stuffing in the seat cushions - they have gone very flat and hard, as a consequence it was difficult to relax on them in the evening. Our only real gripe is in regard to the T&C's from the property management; we have stayed at many Cornish Cottages, and this property has a significant list of cleaning duties you must perform prior to leaving or face additional charges. Whilst we are in complete agreement with respectfully leaving a property in a good state ready for it to be professionally cleaned for the next tenants, we felt the list was a little too extensive, in particular as it needs to be vacated by 9am on the day of departure.

The double beds were really comfy, and the facilities were all great. It's in a great spot with clear views of the sea! We had a lovely stay.

The toaster is not working properly. Light switches/dimmer switches old, cracked and broken . PAT testing ran out in July! Kitchen drawer fronts fell off, kitchen shelves holding the glasses were about to fall. The downstairs smells of damp, mould around the bath, (en-suite downstairs ). Photos are available if you would like to see. As the agent for the property I think you should be checking if it’s fit for purpose although I appreciate feedback does help (hopefully). It didn’t, however, when we rented First Light in August 2020. The property details stated there was a coffee machine (which was also shown in the photographs). This wasn’t in the kitchen but in a locked room downstairs. We called and emailed to ask about this, but nobody was available or responded. Happy to discuss further if you would like.
