Built into the side of a hill and spread over three levels, you effectively enter the holiday home on the ground floor, walking from the hallway up a few steps to the upper ground floor into the main hub of the house, the open-plan country-cottage style kitchen and dining room, with a separate inviting sitting room. Pause here and enjoy a much-needed cuppa, whilst admiring the breath-taking rural views over the rolling Cornish countryside from the elevated position. Conveniently, on the ground floor are three of the four bedrooms, a family bathroom, and a cloakroom, meaning retiring to bed after a busy day exploring couldn’t be easier! On the lower ground floor is a further family bedroom with both a double and single bed – ideal for a couple with a child - plus a shower room, utility room, and access to the magnificent garden, complete with a sunny patio area for relaxing afternoons spent soaking up the sunshine in peace. Whilst spending your whole holiday in the confines of the amazing property might seem appealing, there are a wealth of activities and beauty spots to be enjoyed just moments from your door. Head down a few minutes walk to Polzeath and try your hand at surfing, or visit one of many other bays in the area accessible on foot via the coastal paths, or via a short car journey. For instance, Daymer Bay is just a little drive away, providing a safe sandy beach where children can spend hours building sandcastles and rock pooling. A short drive takes you to the thriving village of Rock on the Camel Estuary – another unmissable destination on this stretch of coastline. Whether you plan to spend action-packed hours wandering the coast paths, or laid-back beach days soaking up the sunshine and sea air in this beautiful area, Trestar offers superb family and pet-friendly accommodation in a wonderful seaside location.

The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach, which is bordered by rock pools and is acclaimed to be one of the best surfing beaches in the country. Polzeath itself has a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants, and the South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route, runs through the village. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. There’s wonderful countryside in the area, with the renowned Camel Trail passing through the town, and the nearby town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is well worth exploring. Within driving distance is the UK surfing capital of Newquay, with over 11 miles of golden sandy beaches. Polzeath is an excellent base for exploring this part of Cornwall.
