Guests say

Guests are enchanted by the stunning views and prime location of '13 Above Town', a homely and well-equipped property in Dartmouth. The comfortable beds and multiple lounges cater to relaxation, while the terraces offer breathtaking vistas. Some minor maintenance issues are noted, but these do not detract from the overall positive experience.

The property is generally praised for its cleanliness, with guests finding it comfortable and clean. However, there are mentions of an overgrown garden and a need for a deep clean on one of the terraces, which slightly affects the score.

The location is highly regarded due to its proximity to the town centre and the spectacular views it offers. The steep access is noted but does not significantly impact the guests' appreciation.

Guests find the property comfortable, with special mentions of the super comfy beds and the provision of multiple lounges. Some guests noted issues with heating distribution and a cold downstairs lounge.

The property is well-equipped, but several reviews mention maintenance issues such as a non-working tumble dryer setting, dripping taps, and minor plumbing problems. These indicate a need for attention to facilities and maintenance.

While guests appreciate the comprehensive guidebook and clear instructions, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

I LOVE your house. I love everything about it. Well possible not the being at the top of a steep hill. But even that wouldn't put me off buying it as it is. The view is outstanding from both of the balconies. The beds are comfortable, with plenty of pillow options. The facilities in the house are lovely, with a lovely sized TV and sound system. The main town centre is a short, steep downhill walk. This is not a disable-friendly walk. Everywhere is steep. That does not detract from the beauty of the house or surrounding area.

It would have been helpful to have a floor plan to view. The cutlery drawer took a while to find. It would have been helpful if the sign for the drawer was more visible, possibly facing up from the main drawer rather than on the front of the cutlery drawer.

The views from the balconies are hard to explain and photos don’t quite do it justice, but we’d come back just for the views! The layout of the house was great, the location was fab, and the house had (pretty much) everything you needed. We were a family of four adults and two dogs and had plenty of space. We also find the guide/book left by the owners with lots of tips and opinions very helpful. There were only two things I think could be improved - the garden was a little overgrown and felt a little neglected, which was a shame as it could have been beautiful. There were a few things missing that we typically expect to be included for the price, including bin bags and dishwasher tablets. However, these small things wouldn’t stop me recommending the house to friends and family, or from coming back ourselves!
