Guests say

Guests are consistently impressed with the stunning views, high-quality furnishings, and prime location of the apartment. The property is praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and well-equipped nature, making it a highly recommended choice for a stay in Dartmouth.

The majority of reviews highlight the apartment's spotless condition. However, a few guests mentioned minor issues such as silverfish and a dusty hair dryer, slightly affecting the overall cleanliness perception.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views over the Dart, proximity to the town centre, and the convenience of having a parking space right outside. It's described as quiet yet accessible, contributing to a perfect setting.

Guests find the apartment comfortable, with high-quality beds and furnishings. Some concerns about drafts and heating issues are noted, but these do not detract significantly from the overall comfort experienced.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the well-equipped kitchen and spacious bathrooms. However, points are deducted for maintenance issues like the draft from the chimney, stiff shower controls, and a locked heating system.

While guests appreciate the apartment's amenities, there is no mention of gifts or extra personal touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, this score cannot be determined from the reviews provided.

About this property

A broad staircase or wide lift leads directly to the property, which has its own parking spot as well as additional guest parking and is only a short walk from the town centre. The apartment features a spacious entry hall, with a convenient coat cupboard, that leads to a fantastic living/dining area with bi-fold doors that open onto a balcony with wonderful river views. The living/dining area features contemporary furnishings such as sleek seating, feature fireplace, along with a Smart TV; the perfect place for unwinding after a day of sightseeing! A circular wood table adequately sits four people, but can easily be expanded to seat six people if you want to have company. The fabulous kitchen is adjacent and also has river views, as well as white Poggenpohl units and a variety of appliances such as a handy washer/dryer and a Bosch Tassimo coffee maker (requiring Tassimo coffee pods). In the evening, retire to the master suite, which features a top-of-the-line Hypnos super-king-size zip/linked bed with summer and winter duvets depending on the season, built-in storage, and its own Smart TV. The completely tiled en-suite bathroom features both a bath and a separate walk-in shower cubicle, giving you plenty of options for getting ready for the day ahead! The second bedroom is close by and has the same Hypnos super-king-size zip/linked bed as the master, as well as its own Smart TV. The bedrooms boast Egyptian cotton linen and towels, whilst tea towels and oven gloves are provided. Just across the hallway is a superb bathroom with a bath and shower over. Dartmouth benefits from spectacular coastal walks and beautiful nearby beaches alongside the buzz of the vibrant town centre, which is filled with pretty ancient narrow walkways, boutique shops, art galleries, a huge selection of delicatessens, cafés, bars and restaurants; it is equally appealing in the winter as it is in the summer. Dartmouth stages events such as the Music Festival in May, the Regatta in August, the Food Festival in October and Candlelit Dartmouth in December, whilst the Flavel (Arts) Centre has an ever-changing programme of live events and cinema. The River Dart can also be explored by taking a steamboat trip to the mouth of the river or by taking a ferry upstream to Dittisham or Greenway, Agatha Christie’s summer residence. For golf lovers, the Dartmouth Hotel Golf and Spa is close by and features an 18 hole Championship Golf Course (Tee times and spa treatments can be booked directly with the hotel - membership isn’t required). There's much more to see and do in the surrounding region, including the wonderful towns of Paignton, Blackpool Sands, and Brixham, where plenty of activities wait! Treat your loved ones to an amazing stay at 34 Dart Marina.

The outlook from the lounge was fabulous with constant movement on the river Dart. The kitchen bedrooms and bathrooms leave nothing to be desired, everything has been thought of. I would have no hesitation in recommending this 5 star apartment and feel you will not find better. I would like to ask the owner to provide a bath mat as the shower is very slippery when wet and with no wall bars makes it difficult for older people to exit the shower safely. I would like to thank Coast & Country cottages for their help in arranging our stay. Will look forward to returning again Mike &Bobbie Winterford

We loved our time here. The views from the apartment over the river did not disappoint. Two huge bathrooms and good sized bedrooms were perfect for a group of four. Although top floor there is a good sized and quick lift in the block which was perfect for my 79 year old mum who struggles with stairs. The car parking space is also right outside of the block. Good to see tea towels, dish scourer, a few dishwasher tabs and other cleaning items available within the property. The location was perfect for us, a short flat walk away from numerous shops and restaurants, alongside ferry access. We felt very safe at night walking around and even had drinks at the hotel next door which was handy. A nice quiet area. We would definitely recommend this place and will return.

It is easily accessible. The car parking space is right outside and there is a lift to the property which is all on one level on the second floor. The view is exactly as in the photograph and, while the balcony is fairly small, the windows fold right back so that the whole room becomes part of the balcony. It is well equipped and comfortable. In our opinion it is the best property in this development.
