The only very minor points are the lack of a welcome basket of local produce/pint of milk , common in similar properties run by the same company, and previously mentioned by other holidaymakers. In fact in this place there IS a basket, but it's tantalisingly empty - despite the sticker on a cupboard reminding them to supply biscuits! Also it was good to have all of the appliances' manuals but we couldn't find the one for the washing machine anywhere - but worked it out for ourselves. Plus, the wardrobe in the main front bedroom had a couple of very loose doorknobs on it - both of which fell off. Finally, the rubbish collection system here has some very specific instructions involving a private company collecting the rubbish early on the day of check-out , which was good to know, so we placed our black bin bags in the numbered wheelie bin which had been left just at the top of the drive but didn't see anyone collect anything.

Both gardens were really overgrown making the property look shabby and badly kept from outside. The grass obviously hadn't been cut for months, nor the front hedge cut back. When getting in or out of the car on the driveway it was either into long knee height grass or into an overgrown hedge the other side. As we had a lot of rain during our stay you got drenched from the wet hedge just getting into the car. We paid a lot of money for our stay, so would a least expect things to be tidy and better kept. The garden let the property down a bit really. A lovely house though and just as shown in the photos. Hill to town is a killer!

Unfortunately the garden was a jungle with the overgrown hedge reducing the parking space. Most disappointing.
