Enjoy a reset or romantic getaway in this pretty Fisherman's Cottage.
Bask on the sheltered sunny terrace with your morning coffee and freshly baked croissant, a beautiful waterside gem where you can watch the world go by and breathe the Salcombe air.
Lifeboat Cottage has been a family holiday home for over 50 years and it oozes character being an early 19th century, Grade II listed Fisherman’s Cottage. This is one of very few holiday homes that sits along the sea wall of Victoria Quay in a much envied location, which basks in sunshine due to its south facing position.
With stunning views over the estuary, past the Salcombe Lifeboat towards the beaches of East Portlemouth and South Pool creek, this is a very well-positioned cottage. Lifeboat Cottage is only a short stroll from the high street of Salcombe with its independent food shops, famous bakery, restaurants and cosy pubs, plus a fabulous selection of shops for that extra holiday treat. Pick up friends by boat from the quayside and head off to the sunny beaches for the day.
The cottage is perfect for couples and an infant if required, if you need a relaxing or romantic getaway this is the place.
Entering the property through a wrought iron gate you will be on the terrace of the cottage. On the ground floor, there is a cosy coastal inspired sitting room with pretty views from the sash window. The combined kitchen and dining room is set-up perfectly for a lazy breakfast or relaxing over a delicious supper with your favourite wine from the vintners a short stroll away. Out the back of the cottage (over a shared alleyway) is the utility room and a large walk in shower perfect for rinsing those sandy feet.
Upstairs is the magic of the master bedroom which has a super king bed and breathtaking views out of the sash window over the famous quay featuring the Salcombe lifeboat and estuary stretching along to the sandy beaches. There is always activity on the water, perfect for watching with a coffee or glass of wine. A generous family bathroom with a bath and handheld shower is just across the hall from the bedroom to relax and refresh after your day.
only one small/medium dog welcome, at an additional charge.
Complimentary long stay car parking permit provided.
Please note this is the reduced occupancy version of 7 Victoria Quay. There is a double bunk room on the first floor but this is out of bounds. Unfortunately, if these are used, you will be charged the full occupancy price. If you're a larger party looking for full use of this property do take a look at 7 Victoria Quay.

First and foremost - the best position in Salcombe! We walked on the flat into the town to fetch bread and milk, then had breakfast each day outside in the protected garden.

Recently stayed at Lifeboat Cottage and had a lovely few days. The cottage is cosy yet stylish with wonderful views across the estuary. Lovely to lie in bed in the morning enjoying the sunrise!

The cottage is perfectly situated for all the amenities of the town. We never used the car once, being able to source fresh seafood, fantastic meat and fresh vegetables and bread from the shops in the town.
