Guests say

The Sands in Salcombe is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its stunning views, luxurious interior, and excellent location. Guests have enjoyed the property's proximity to the beach and local amenities, as well as the comfort and space it provides for family gatherings. While some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness concerns were mentioned, the overall sentiment is one of satisfaction and a desire to return.

Most guests found The Sands to be clean and comfortable. However, a few reviews mentioned issues with cleanliness, such as cobwebs, a dirty kitchen extractor, and a few other areas needing attention. These appear to be isolated incidents rather than a general trend.

The location of The Sands is highly praised for its breathtaking views and proximity to both the town of Salcombe and local beaches. The only drawback mentioned is the steep hill into town, which may be challenging for some guests.

Guests have consistently noted the comfort of The Sands, highlighting the luxurious bedrooms and the spaciousness of the property. The comfort of the beds and the quality of the linen and towels were also appreciated.

The facilities at The Sands are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable furnishings. Some guests noted minor maintenance issues and suggested improvements, such as the need for a gate to secure the garden for pets and a more thorough deep clean in certain areas.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience with thoughtful touches like a welcome hamper, there is not enough consistent information about gifts or additional thoughtful gestures to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such amenities are subject to change and not guaranteed.

We were 6 adults and 4 children so made use of all the space inside and outside. We would definitely return. Comfortable beds and nice towels and linen.

Just one improvement to the property would be to add a gate at the entrance so that pets are entirely enclosed. Thanks

The house was very clean and comfortable with good facilities. The beds were very comfortable. The views of North Sands from the house were beautiful . The house is well situated to walk to Salcombe and North Sands . We enjoyed the outside terrace and BBQ area. The only thing I would mention is the nearness to the road at the bottom of the steps. Although it wasn't noisy enough to disturb us or keep us awake at night, the road did 'interfer' with what as otherwise a beautiful setting. Car parking was also right by the side of the road, so you would have to be careful with children/elderly. The steps up to the house were also quite steep. However, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house and Coast & Country.
