This detached cottage offers a wonderful modern holiday home for friends and families alike, looking to explore this beautiful unspoilt countryside area. The property boasts a delightful open-plan living space, with plenty of seating to relax and unwind, with a wood-burning stove to keep you warm during winter evenings. There are three lower ground floor bedrooms; one double, one twin/double, and a single with an en-suite w/c shower room that can only be accessed via the garden or balcony, ideal for a teenager looking for some privacy. There are numerous glorious sandy beaches nearby, some within walking distance and others a short journey by car. For hill walkers, Dartmoor is only a 15 minute drive. The village and surrounding area has long had an allure for artists. For creative guests, bring your paints along as you will find much to inspire in the near vicinity. Close-by Plymouth has many attractions such as the National Marine Aquarium, the art-deco Lido, the Royal William Yard and the Barbican from where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail. The view to the estuary is stunning and many happy hours were spent looking at the rowers on the river. The two pubs were both very welcoming and we had a couple of excellent meals. We look forward to making further bookings. PS. The welcoming cake was a very nice surprise.

The "cottage" was first class in every respect and information from the owners re the local area was extremely useful. A great holiday for us - only downside - we forgot to book the sunshine!

We really enjoyed our stay at Kittywake the place very clean and well equipped with everything you may need, the accommodation was ideally situated by the creek with views from the lounge/balcony with stunning scenery we would definitely recommend a stay at this property we would love to stay here again in the future
