The Hop Kiln in Herefordshire receives high praise for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and beautiful location on a working farm. Guests appreciate the warm, comfortable accommodation and the friendly, helpful owners. The property is well-equipped, offering a peaceful retreat with plenty of space for families. Despite some minor issues with flies and mobile phone signal, the overall experience is very positive, with many guests eager to return.
Guests consistently note the property's cleanliness, with several reviews highlighting the high standard of maintenance. One mention of flies does not detract significantly from the overall impression of an extremely clean environment.
The property's picturesque setting in the Herefordshire countryside is frequently commended. Its proximity to local villages and as a base for exploring the area is appreciated, although the remote nature and access via tight lanes are noted.
The comfort of The Hop Kiln is often mentioned, with guests finding the property warm and the accommodation spacious. The underfloor heating and comfortable bedrooms contribute to a relaxing stay, although a low double bed was a minor issue for some.
The property is described as well-equipped and furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen and ample space. Some guests missed a mop and suggested that the addition of DVDs and cleaning products would be beneficial.
While guests mention welcoming touches such as fresh eggs on arrival, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.
This 16th century detached barn conversation is the largest of four Luntley cottages on the owners' working farm in the hamlet of Luntley, and offers character beams, wall timbers and a beautiful living area with underfloor heating. A spiral staircase leads to the three bedrooms, which again boast ceiling beams and wall timbers, and this whole Luntley cottage has been tastefully furnished to offer cosy, comfortable accommodation. This welcoming Luntley cottage is the perfect base for a family holiday or break with friends. This cottage can be booked with Refs 2215, 2216 and 2217 to accommodate 22.
Luntley is a hamlet, tiny in size and rural in location, set to the north of Herefordshire in the Welsh Marches. Visitors to Luntley will enjoy the walking and cycling available in the surrounding countryside, while for amenities with character, head 2 miles down the road to Pembridge, a medieval village on the Black and White Village Trail, whose half timbered houses, three olde worlde pubs, 14th century market hall and interesting church make this village a firm favourite with visitors. Hereford and Hay-on-Wye are within easy reach, and well worth the trip.

Lots of space for a family of 5 (it would even accommodate a lot more). Everything was on hand in the fully equipped kitchen with lots of seating. Lovely owner who came to check everything was ok on a good few occasions. An all round great Christmas thanks to our stay here and I will definitely be going back.

We enjoyed our stay and had a lovely family break away from the busy lifestyle despite the weather. No complaints from us
