Guests say

Wilderness Lodge in Shropshire is highly praised for its comfort, stunning location, and tranquility. Guests enjoy the wildlife, the cosy atmosphere, and the hot tub, with many finding it exceeds expectations. The lodge's remote setting offers a peaceful retreat with friendly locals and a community spirit. Some guests mention the approach road is narrow and bumpy, and the hot tub requires manual heating, but these are minor compared to the overall exceptional experience.

Guests consistently note the lodge's cleanliness, describing it as very clean and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The lodge's location is celebrated for its tranquility and proximity to nature reserves and walking trails. However, some guests note the approach road is narrow and the walk to local amenities can be steep.

Reviews frequently mention the lodge's comfort, with a cosy wood burner, comfortable beds, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes guests feel at home.

The lodge is well-equipped with modern amenities, though some guests mention minor issues with the hot tub heating and occasional maintenance matters. The wood-fired hot tub is unique but requires effort to heat.

Many guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like fresh flowers and homemade cake on arrival, enhancing the welcoming feel of the lodge. While such gifts are warmly received, they are a personal touch and may not be a standard offering for every stay.

So comfy and some great touches to make it homely. We had a wonderful time. Some of the lights by the hot tub weren’t working was the only thing that would need checking.

It is situated in some stunning countryside. So very peaceful and relaxing. Would highly recommend this lodge.

The character of the Lodge has been carefully created and it is comfortable and spacious. Location near a well stocked shop AND good pub is excellent although anyone with a low sports car might struggle with the lane to the property. Recommended additions for even more perfection would be a shaving socket in bathroom(s) for shaver or electric toothbrush and lidded bin for outdoor rubbish (it is raided by the wildlife). Wonderful place - thank you.
