Guests find the cottage comfortable, with a warm atmosphere and cosy setting. The presence of a comfortable bed and the overall homeliness of the cottage are noted, ensuring a restful stay.
The facilities, including the swimming pool and gym, are well-received, although there is a mention of inconsistent Wi-Fi and some appliances not working properly. The availability of a pool and gym is a significant positive factor, but the minor issues prevent a perfect score.
The owners' thoughtfulness is evident through welcoming touches such as basic supplies and seasonal decorations. While gifts like fresh eggs are mentioned, it is important to note that such personal touches, though delightful, are not guaranteed with every stay.

The ancient village of Rowington lies in unspoilt Warwickshire countryside and offers many lovely walks including the Heart of England Way. The Grand Union Canal is close by as is the village country pub and restaurant which serves home-cooked food and real ales. The village boasts Rowington Manor, once owned by Catherine Parr and Shakespeare Hall, where it is said Shakepeare's family lived when he wrote 'As you like it'. There are two National Trust properties close to Rowington, Baddesley Clinton and Packwood House, with Wroxall Abbey, another fine house and the country seat of Sir Christopher Wren also near by. Close by, Lapworth Village is strongly associated with the Gunpowder Plot of 1605, as the leader of the plotters, Robert Catesby, was born and lived here, and his tomb is in Lapworth Church. Henley-in-Arden boasts one of the most unspoilt high streets in the country, which contains over 150 buildings listed as being of Special or Historic interest. The town has its own Heritage Centre, itself dating back to the 12th century, with many restaurants, traditional pubs and individual shops, as well as a selection of sports facilities including golf courses, tennis courts and fishing.

It is secure & quiet with lots of nature & wildlife around. They have an indoor pool which is great after a long day of sightseeing. The only downside, if there is one, is the ensuite, it is a perfect size but I'm a night owl & my husband is an early bird so we kept waking each other up when we had to answer a call of nature.

I was staying with my five year old daughter and the hosts set out some garden toys for her which I thought was a lovely touch. The pool was brilliant. Definitely going back.

Gorgeous old flagstone floor in the living room. Kitchen is well equipped - no coffee machine but the owners have provided a French press for ground coffee. Comfy bed and sofa. Nice 5k circular walk from the property (part along the canal). Only 20 mins by car to Solihull for shopping and amazing restaurants but there is a pub that does food within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again, owners are very helpful and the indoor pool is a real bonus.
