The Round House in Leyburn is highly praised for its cleanliness, idyllic location, and comfort. Guests appreciate the welcoming and knowledgeable hosts, Rodger and Hilary, and the property's proximity to local amenities and scenic walks. While most experiences are positive, a few guests mention minor issues with facilities and parking instructions.
Guests consistently describe the property as clean, well-maintained, and beautifully presented, with several reviews highlighting the cleanliness as a notable aspect of their stay.
The property is lauded for its excellent location, offering easy access to local pubs, eateries, and attractions. Its setting in the Yorkshire Dales provides a perfect base for exploring the countryside, although one review mentions traffic noise.
The majority of guests find the cottage comfortable and cosy, with a lovely private patio and garden. However, a few guests note the property's compact size and an issue with early morning light due to a missing blind.
Facilities generally meet guests' needs, but there are comments about a temperamental shower and toaster. The property is well-equipped for a holiday stay, though the parking situation was misleading for one guest.
While guests mention thoughtful touches like a bottle of wine and local information provided by the hosts, there is not enough consistent detail across reviews to accurately score the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Showed us around and gave us a few tips for trips to do around the area. The round house was beautiful and the surrounds. Very comfortable to stay in, everything you need is there. Would go back for another stay in a heartbeat.

Rodger the owner was an absolute gentleman and very helpful with local information. Very peaceful, and a perfect base for touring the Yorkshire dales. The race horses going past the kitchen window every day was an added bonus , we definitely can't wait to go back again.

Murray are fantastic hosts, very knowledgeable about the local area and were able to suggest some lovely walks taking in the beautiful scenery around Middleham. The Roundhouse is a very romantic place offering stunning vistas of the Yorkshire Dales from right outside the door. Middleham is a fantastic base if you want to visit Wensleydale Creamery, Aysgarth Falls, Forbidden Corner (great for kids and adults alike), or just go for long pleasant walks in the countryside, maybe taking a walk with an Alpaca too. You won't be disappointed if you book and feel sure that you will visit again and again. Just a wonderful experience, thank you.
