About this property

Filey 3 miles. This modern, end-terrace property is situated on The Bay holiday village, just three miles from the traditional seaside town of Filey. This family-friendly accommodation is ideal for enjoying the extensive on-site facilities, along with direct access to an expansive, beautiful sandy beach. There is a comfortable sitting room with a dining area and French doors opening onto a small private patio, just perfect for a morning coffee in the sunshine. The separate kitchen caters for all needs and includes an icemaking machine and slow cooker, while upstairs are two bedrooms, with the double having an additional TV, a dressing area and a double wardrobe for convenience. The second bedroom has one small double and one single bed. Outside are extensive communal grounds with two lakes, barbecues and picnic areas for guests to enjoy, while the popular pub and cafe are just a five-minute walk. On the complex is a leisure centre with a large indoor heated swimming pool, children's pool, sauna and steam room, which guests have unlimited access to. Outdoor pursuits include tennis courts, a fishing lake and putting green, or why not relax with a beauty treatment whilst the children partake in a snorkelling lesson? A pleasant stroll brings you to a glorious beach, whilst the traditional charm of Filey will not fail to please, with its pretty promenades, colourful beach huts and unique coble landing for fishing boats. Go rockpooling and crabbing on Filey Brigg, take an exhilarating clifftop walk or visit the nearby animal farm. A little further along the coast lies Flamborough Head and Bempton RSPB Reserve, abounding with nesting seabirds on the chalk cliffs, including puffins in the summer months, a sight not to be missed. With the larger resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Bridlington close by and the rolling countryside of the Wolds to explore, this welcoming property provides an ideal base for an excellent holiday.

Filey is a traditional English seaside resort with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday. A fishing town on the North East Coast, Filey has enjoyed a reputation of being a resort since Victorian times, set affront the magnificent Filey Bay, a long stretch of sand. The town itself seems almost caught in a time warp, retaining much of its character with individual shops, narrow paths, and ginnels.

We have stayed on the Bay five times now and this property is a first with the walk in shower to cater for all abilities which was an added bonus. There is a number of small maintenance items that need attending at some stage, the shower door has a screw located at the door runner left hand side at top that needs fixing to the door track wheel. The glass cabinet in the kitchen the door needs some adjustment as it sticks when opening and closing. The cabinet lights two of them kept flickering, one of them you could hear arcing as it makes and breaks contact. Overall we would stay here again should we look at returning to Filey in 2025 or thereafter

I think this time though the cleaners lacked a little and missed some things, which is not the owners fault at all We had an issue with the microwave and after contacting Sykes the owner called me straight away which I thought was exceptional

In a great location which is only a minute walk to the pool/pub and a short walk to the beach. The home has everything you need. It was nice and warm and comfy beds . The only negative is that it is looking a bit tired although that was probably reflected by the price. We would stay again.
