Cayton, a small village and civil parish in North Yorkshire's Scarborough district, is ideal for a beach getaway, having a decent range of amenities and attractions both inside the village and in the surrounding area. There are many of hidden jewels to find in the community, which boasts historic traces of its existence during wwii, with coastline erosion pillboxes visible around the area. The village has a fair selection of pubs and shops, ideal for a self-catering stay, but Scarborough, a lively resort town with plenty of things to interest all ages, has a larger selection of waterside cafes.

This lodge is amazing itâs in a lovely quite area of the park there is everything and more what you need for a great stay even a ninja and a coffee machine they have iron ironing board it is a beautiful homely lodge the wrap round deck is amazing the furniture is lovely with coushions to relax weather permitting the owners leave passes for facilities for club house and activities we contacted own for information and and got the reply and help we needed swiftly we have no complaints and will look to come again thank you so much for a great stay we parked the car up and travelled all week by bus £2 price cap we did Scarborough Filey Bridlington only travelling to Whitby in the car there is a love pub across the road the Tow Bar great place overall really enjoyed I would say the beach at cayton bay if you have any mobility issues the beach is very difficult to navigate down a steep path and steps so not great for pushchairs or disabled people we caught bus and went on scharbourgh beach it was just easier the only thing I would mention to the owner is the toilet seat in the shower room the shower is so powerful itâs amazing better than my home one thanks again

We did not expect such a comfortable facility. Can't fault the actual lodge in any way.

Radiators had been turned off by previous occupant. Soon got warm and cosy Only two comments the path to van needs extending as the grass was sodden with all the rain so we were treading mud in, and could do with bedside lamps. Otherwise lovely property.
