Toothpaste still on the sink and pink bacteria and mould in the shower. And thick grime under the shower tap that wiped off easily. Dust webs a plenty in the open plan kitchen/frontroom, and the bedroom and the kitchen sink had an orange rim round it from the last person who had washed up. Had to clean all this before I could relax. The bed needs a new mattress as its like sleeping on a piece of plywood and didn't have a mattress protector on it. And the pillow protectors were stained/ needed a wash. Lovely place with lovely views, but just needs a proper clean between guests.

Paul met us on arrival and checked in to make sure everything was good. The location is perfect for exploring local areas, Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough are just short drives away. We spent a day exploring the trails from the different parking areas on the side of the road, also highly recommend the walk down to Hayburn Wyke Waterfall. Lots of dog friendly pubs in the local villages to eat at. The cottage is cozy to come back to after a day walking. There was a little hamper on arrival including dog treats. And finally the hottub was the perfect end to a day exploring! We had a brilliant stay and will definitely return, thank you!

Brilliant location, comfortable bed, super clean, hot tub was wonderful and the secure garden was even small dog secure - no gaps! Lovely host who showed us around the property and made us feel welcome. Would stay here again and have already recommended to family. 10/10
