Pipit House in Whitby is a clean, homely cottage with excellent views, particularly from the top bedroom. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to the town centre and local amenities. The cottage is well-equipped, offering a comfortable stay with special touches for both guests and pets. However, some guests noted challenges with steep stairs, parking, and luggage transport. The garden and exterior maintenance could be improved, but the interior cleanliness and thoughtful provisions contribute to a pleasant experience.
The cottage is consistently described as clean and spotless, with lovely bed linen. However, a few comments about mouldy bathroom tiles and an unloved garden suggest minor room for improvement.
The location is praised for its proximity to the town centre and amenities. However, parking difficulties and the approach to the property, including steep steps, slightly detract from the overall convenience.
The property is generally considered comfortable, with a homely feel and well-equipped rooms. The steep stairs and lack of dining chairs for all guests are noted as comfort detractors.
While the property is described as well-equipped, specific references to facilities such as the TV not being tuned and the lack of dining chairs mean that a comprehensive score cannot be given due to mixed feedback.
Guests have mentioned appreciative touches like tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and biscuits, as well as special facilities for pets. These gestures indicate thoughtfulness, although such provisions may vary and are not guaranteed.

Could not drop off where suggested due to closure for bike race⦠should have been notified of alternative drop off point. Had to park very far away from cottage and struggled to find it. Then had long trek back and forth with belongings. I would not recommend to anyone wanting a quiet relaxing few days away.

We had difficulty finding the house in the first place. It was let down by the cottages and houses nearby and the difficult steps up to the property. Having said this, the cottage was lovely.

The accomadation it's self was good but did not know how steep the stairs were The double room on the top takes two flights of extremly steep stairs to reach we are both 65 plus not good also parking is horrendous and having to lug your bags up several flights of steps just to reach the cottage not for us we were worn out we took our dogs as it was pet friendly but the back garden is not private it is all open plan to the rest of the cottages I think we were mislead by the photos you just had a tiny bit at the front with pebbles will not be returning
